We are a team of three crazy book lovers. Mum (that's me, Gomathy!) is quite the classics fan, loves Enid Blyton and Wodehouse, adores Agatha Christie and is a very strong lady with just one uncontrollable weakness - Picture books!
Big Brother Mukunth is all of 12 years, mad about Hobbits and Hogwarts, considers trilogies a fashion statement and is still reading Tinkle under cover. Can be spotted everywhere with a book in hand (literally everywhere!!!).
Little Brother Milind is 7, copies big brother in everything and so tries to read J R R Tolkien and J K Rowling. But when mum picks up a picture book, he abandons everything and cuddles along! Owl Babies, Guess How Much I Love You and Slowly, Slowly, said the Sloth are his all-time favourites and he is a major fan of Michael Rosen, Oliver Jeffers and Shel Silverstein.
This blog is all about books that Mukunth and Milind have read and loved, and that is the origin of our blog address: m and m reads. :o)
It is a great boon that we share this passion for books, because, come a holiday, we're off to the book shops for endless hours of window shopping and drooling over books (it helps that we also share our passion of sweet treats and a hot drink in a cosy corner of a Tea shop, book in hand!). Our idea of a day well-spent would be browsing through books in the library and pondering for hours to pick up the 10 books (each) that we are allowed to borrow.
We quite enjoy spying on our favourite authors (for new book releases and book signing events) and when they do attend any book events anywhere near our town, we mob-attack them to get our books signed!!.
(P.S: We LOVE getting books as gifts any time of the year heh heh)
